In the hills north of Arezzo, with panoramic views onto town and its surrounding hills, lies Casale 'Le Ginestre', a very large (250 sqm) traditional Tuscan stone farmhouse. Positioned at 450 m above sea level, Le Ginestre is set within about 2 ha (5 acres) of typical Tuscan countryside, including shaded garden, terraces with olive trees and orchard.

Arezzo is part of the tuscan Chianti region, located just 40 km (25 miles) from Siena and 60 km (38 miles) from Florence.

Its origins go back to the fifth century BC as an Etruscan town. Some of the testimonials of its ancient history include remains of the Etruscan wall circle, the theatre-temple in San Cornelio (a few kms from the town centre), the Roman Amphitheatre in the centre of town, the Romanic Church La Pieve and the 'Medici' Fortress.
