In the hills north of Arezzo, with panoramic views onto town and its surrounding hills, lies Casale 'Le Ginestre', a very large (250 sqm) traditional Tuscan stone farmhouse. Its origins go back to the fifth century BC as an Etruscan town. Some of the testimonials of its ancient history include remains of the Etruscan wall circle, the theatre-temple in San Cornelio (a few kms from the town centre), the Roman Amphitheatre in the centre of town, the Romanic Church La Pieve and the 'Medici' Fortress.
